[Behind The Lens;
Int. desk by the window - NIGHT]
prologue:
Elis.
I have two old loves:
cinema and poetry.
They lived side by side
with photography,
like dreams of an adulthood
immersed in the creative arts.
While photography took center stage,
poetry and cinema lived in
my enthusiasm drawer.
But these disciplines are intertwined.
My approach to photography
has always been rooted in
storytelling and documentation.
The library of films in my mind
directly influences the way
I compose
my images. . .

A couple of years ago,
the universe handed me
a new way to tell stories:
Chapter 01:
Super 8 Filmmaking.
My brother-in-law got hold
of an old Canon camera
and quite literally dropped it
on my lap to try it out.
It’s been a beautiful ride ever since.
The magic of documenting real stories
on a medium that is, essentially,
on the brink of extinction
(please, Kodak, hang in there!)
completely took hold of me
and my creativity.
As a photographer with 15 years
of professional experience documenting love,
Super 8 added a magical, poetic,
dreamlike essence to my work.
It gave me butterflies.
I saw my photographic timing,
honed over all these years,
translate seamlessly
to motion pictures captured on 8mm film.
I once read that celluloid is a dreamcatcher,
and I couldn’t agree more.
That’s what I hope to catch on film for you:
your dreams, your memories,
the way I observed them unfold.
Years from now, when you rewatch them,
I hope those echoes of your special day,
your love, your family
become the visual poetry
of how you
remember them.

Chapter 02:
The Heartfelt Approach
Walking into your life with my heart (and eyes) open wide.
Super 8 is more than
a way to document,
it’s a way to remember.
Not just how things looked,
but how they felt.
The soft flicker of film,
the richness of grain,
the way light dances unpredictably
across a frame
it all mirrors the beauty
of real life: imperfect, fleeting,
and full of meaning.
I’m an observer.
My approach is intuitive,
rooted in presence and perception.
I let life move at its own rhythm,
capturing what’s honest
and uniquely yours.
The result?
A film that doesn’t just
replay your memories
but immerses you in them.

Chapter 03:
The Process
Producing Your Film
Act 1.
PRE-PRODUCTION
This is where the story begins. We talk, I listen, and I learn how you see the world. This call sets the tone and uncovers what matters most. It is where we map your narrative and prepare for a film that feels like you.
Act 2.
ON LOCATION
The day your story unfolds. With an open heart and keen eye, I let life move as it will. I capture the unspoken and the fleeting. No staging, only presence, and a focus on what makes your story yours.
Act 3.
POST-PRODUCTION
Now, frame by frame, your story takes shape. I bring out the richness of film through color, editing, and handpicked music befitting the rhythm of your day. Each moment woven together to create your special heirloom film.

Come see the
memories
I’ve documented. . .
