Service One
Poetic Documentation
FOR WEDDINGS, ELOPEMENTS, OR SPECIAL EVENTS
Here, I’m the observer. Think of me as the artsy guest with the novelty camera or the documentary filmmaker extracting the poetry of the moment. I’ll be with you throughout the day to tell the full story: what was the weather like while you were getting ready? Were there flowers in the garden as your guests arrived? Were the birds flying overhead while you spoke your vows?
Rates range: 12k for full-days and 8k for half-days.

Service Two
Directed Home Movies
FOR COUPLES, FAMILIES, OR INDIVIDUALS
Here, I’m the director. You want to create a memory of a special time in your lives through a poetic lens. These can be fully structured or flow to the beat of the day. Either way, I’ll storyboard the story you want to tell. You’ll get to see how my laughable stick figures turn into a film you’ll cherish for always.
Rates range: 3k - 5k.

Lingering Questions
(Aka faqs)
-
Super 8 is a motion picture film created by Kodak in the 1960s (1965 to be exact). The film itself is 8mm wide (about the width of a paper clip). It comes in cartridges with a 50ft reel, which gives us about 3 minutes of footage when shot at 18 frames per second. It may sound so little, but Super 8 is not meant to be shot continuously. Think of it as a roll of film with 36 frames where I can tell a whole story in vignettes of the day.
-
Super 8 is a silent medium these days. In general, my films honor that. There’s so much beauty in that quiet. However, vows, speeches, and ambient sounds can bring so much emotion and memory to these little films that I started offering sound recording. It’s a separate process (recorded digitally) and mixed into your final film. If you wish.

Nikon R8, Canon 1014 XL-S, and Canon AF310XL-S.
Dream cameras: the new Kodak Super 8! And a Bolex H16 to start delving into 16mm.
-
It’s all analog film!

Once the film negative is developed and scanned, I'll craft three films for you:
The Short: 3-5 minutes
The Chronicle: 15 minutes (for an 8 hour wedding)
The Highlight Reel: 1-2 minutes
